Tether sues financial services company Swan Bitcoin over Bitcoin mining contract dispute

On January 15, according to Blockspace, Tether is suing financial services company Swan Bitcoin because of a contract dispute in the two companies’ Bitcoin mining joint venture. A Tether spokesperson wrote in an email: “Tether and its co-plaintiff 2040 Energy Limited have recently filed a lawsuit against Swan in the High Court of England and Wales.”

Tether said: “In our cooperation with Swan, Tether has always acted in good faith, supported common business goals, and complied with all relevant agreements. On the contrary, Swan’s behavior was reckless and their actions caused them to seriously breach the agreement between us. As a result, we were forced to take the necessary measures to protect our investment.” Swan confirmed that it had received the lawsuit, but declined to comment further. “Swan will resolutely defend all its rights,” its spokesperson added.
