Tether’s General Counsel has resigned after MiCA stablecoin regulations come into effect

On March 3rd, according to The Block, Stuart Hoegner, the general legal advisor of Tether, has resigned after the implementation of the MiCA stablecoin regulations. With stricter regulations in MiCA taking effect at the end of last year, Michael Hilliard is responsible for the legal affairs of stablecoin issuers and exchanges.
According to Hoegner’s LinkedIn profile, he joined Bitfinex in 2014.
